....but whatever. Wouldn't you think that running in place is basically the same thing as running? It would appear that you'd burn the same amount of calories...

i think it takes a wee bit more to push off of your feet then just bouncing up and down on them really. maybe i am wrong though.

Not really.. you're only like, hopping around in the air. Not pushing off of anything with all of your weight at any type of speed.

only if you ran on a flat surface. running up and down hills would burn more calories than running in place.

Yea but I like scenery Same thing with a treadmill I'd rather go outside and see thing and get distance so I feel like I'm being productive
