Even in 10 years, it will barely help our problems.

We need to eliminate oil brokering, and get OPEC to stop fucking with people.

Well first of all, that's NOT true. The actual oil people (not the tree hugging environmentalists that we see all over the liberal mainstream media) say we'd see oil in 2 - 3 years. And, for liberals sake, lets say it does take 10 years, Bill Clinton used that same "10 year" excuse when he denied drilling leases when he was in office. Guess what, we'd be seeing the benefits of that right now wouldn't we?

Here's the question.

What do you think oil prices will be like in 3 years from now, 10 years from now? $6 a gallon, $10 a gallon? When is the right time to start drilling?

sorry I've been on vacation, anyways if we did start drilling now and if you are right that we would see oil in 2-3 years well yay oil! to bad we don't have the refineries to turn it into usable gasoline. And if we keep doing this high gas prices then more oil then less oil high gas prices it will never stop.
I'm no tree hugger, we should have drilled in polar bear territory years ago but it is too late now and the government needs to focus on alternate choices while not hindering outsiders to look for alternate choices.

the situation is pretty screwed up

And what then? Should we drill and exhaust all the world's oil deposits before we move on to alternative energies? So we drill every reserve we can find and by 2035 we run dry, but just before we run dry oil reaches 100,000 a barrel or more; gas costs two weeks pay checks for a single gallon. And the world will come to a standstill while conservatives and liberals alike proclaim, in retrospect, that we should have invested in alternative energy sources years ago.
