Can people in a coma, early stages, can they like move subconsciously. Like squeezing a hand or what not? Can they cry?

no they can not squeeze a hand, its really un common, i learned a lot of stuff about comas when i got out of mine, it lasted about a month from a fattal skateboarding accident.

I didn't know that people survived fatal accidents. 
Well you could survive a "fatal car accident" if someone else in the car with you died. But I think the word hes looking for is near-fatal accident.
