Spanking doesn't always work, and I understand that. That's the only times my parents ever spanked me, if I was throwing tantrums about things I couldn't have.   I'll be the first to say, I deserved it every time. My parents are pretty much the biggest liberals ever in most other respects. They're staunch pacifists, and they wouldn't have done it at all had I not been so difficult at times.
