I'm already commuting two hours up and two hours back Monday through Friday.  I don't plan on staying on campus very much longer than I have to.  And if I manage to come home early on any given day, I'm thinking about trying to keep my other work shifts. My oldest sister told me not to make a packed schedule, to leave time for friends and stuff... but the thought of not being that social, the thought of not having many friends, and not really hanging out doesn't bother me all that much.  It would be nice to have someone to chat to, but you can do that for 10 minutes and be good... I always make sure I have time whenever possible to keep in touch and go out with all my friends. Social life is really important to me. So you want to rely on your old buddies to kick it and relax.
