As I work for AVG (technical support), I was wondering what are your views of the program? I will not share anything, as I already have my views based on internal information, I just want to know what people think. Also, has anyone written to help support ?

AVG has to be my favorite anti-virus programme. it's the least annoying out of all of them

It's alright. I never got a sense of true security out of it, though. Always felt like the program was half-ass. I prefer Zone Alarm Security Suite.

I have AVG Pro for my Virtualised Windows XP machine, and it's good. I like it, but the interface is quite cluttered. It's sometimes hard to find what I want in the menuing system and there're so many parts to it. One single unified window would be nice :). Also the update downloads are annoying with the stupid Window, it'd be nice if it just did it in the background without it popping up and telling me. Since I use it on a virtualised machine, it will auto-update anytime I start up and that can be annoying seeing the window all the time.

I have it, it dosen't take ages to load or update. But being free. I have to doubt that it actually does the job.

I heard AVG was using customer's PCs to scan websites, and it was really starting to take a toll on certain web servers...although that doesn't really matter to me, as I'm not a webadmin, and I use Avast, instead...

i like it, but it takes like an hour and a half to finish. and eats up my CPU usage so everything else i'm doing runs slower

Well I am at work right now (night shift) , and everything here I can show you to prove is internal. Tomorrow, I can post a picture of my certificate, as it is not with me at the time. :)

It performs illegal operations at random intervals during system scanning. But that doesn't even matter at the moment 'cos my computer is fucked.
