It is the worst pain imaginable. It lasts for hours and hours and gets more painful as time goes on. BUT, is it manageable? Absolutely. Is it so horrible? No. Because you know that each contraction is one step closer to your baby and in the end, you'll have your son/daughter in your arms. It doesn't last forever. If it was terrible, women wouldn't have more than one kid (or at least, more than one natural birth).
