Talking to someone, especially a girlfriend, is a good way to deal with life, much better than cutting. Now you two can get through this together. I suggest you get professional help, because you can never help yourself completely without help. And now you will have your girlfriend for moral support and she can also be your inspiration to try your best to stop cutting.
