My cat has fleas, which aren't as easy to get rid of as dog fleas.  My cat hates water and she has long hair so they hide very well.

Are there any products I can buy without going to a vet that can get rid of cat fleas?  And I need ones that would be safe, especially around her face since they hide more often up by her mouth, ears, nose, and eyes.

Please, help would be MUCH appreciated.

Oh yes, and cat flea collars don't work.

Get those little bottles of gel stuff. The kind you apply along their spine. It gets rid of fleas and makes them smell good :D

Mix lemon Dawn dishsoap (just a drop) with lemon juice (about 5 drops) and water in a spray bottle (a few cups of water).
Spray all over kitty.

Spread Borax on your carpet and leave it for a day, then vacuum it up to get rid of fleas and eggs in the carpet.

Treat the house and treat the yard... no matter what flea preventitives you put on, they won't work properly until the environment is treated.

We sale a pill called "Capstar" which kills all the fleas on the animal within the first 30 minutes.  After giving the cat a capstar you can then apply a flea product such as Frontline, Advantage or Revolution.

You can get a flea spray for the house called Mycodex Environmental control. It works amazingly well and is safe for bedding and carpet.
