A pop-up tent? How do those stand up to bad weather?
It's not just pop up, it's a proper, waterproof tent. You can peg it into the ground, too.

I really don't like them, they are fairly small and there is very little strength in the poles.
They are fine for good weather, but most of them are single skin or have no decent entrance, and thats forgetting that the poles buckle a huge amount under any semi strong wind. Would much rather a fast pitching tunnel or something like that. Takes a few min's to pitch, packs down to something more practical than a circle and will hold off a lot more.

They are great for taking on mountains with you skiing and snowboarding, not that one persay but the general concept.
Putting them away can be, difficult, well for me atleast.
