I was curious to know what other peoples opinions were on this subject. Do you think porn is a form of adultery? Me and my husband are both 20. I occasionally watch porn from time to time. Since he's away I've been watching it even more.

So my question is...

Do you think porn is committing adultery?

I know you actually have to sleep with someone to say it's adultery but from the Christan's point of view it's a little different.

I've been told that if you have thoughts about sleeping with another person then you are committing it...

No, not in my opinion.

Lust, yes.
Adultery, no

A while ago I would have said yes. But no, it's not adultery.

Definitely not

I guess it depends on how your partner feels about it. I don't mind if my boyfriend watches and/or masturbates to porn, and he doesn't mind me doing it either, so we are in agreement. However, if I was with someone who was against that, I wouldn't use it to masturbate, I would use my mind, just like I used to in my younger days.

From a Christian perspective, yes (or at least it is comparable to it).

But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

Matthew 5:28

well i am christian but i dont believe in the bible. (it's comlicated lol)

so my opinion on this is NOT derived from the bible. it is from my own  reasoning and such

i do think it's adultry. i believe if u love someone that your mind will be with that one person completely. i've been hurt recentally because of this. he claims he loves me but he allowed his eyes to carry away from me and onto someone else. it was very hurtful. i know he loves me and all, but something is missing, i believe. something that maybe time will be able to fix

I watch porn sometimes and it's great for getting you both hot when u watch it together so normally i'd say NO. But my last bf watched it and i don't know what bothered me more about it, the fact that he was watching it or WHERE he was watching it,

You see, one day i came home from work and noticed my computer was running slow and that everytime i tried to open windows media player a little porn movie would come on and it wasn't anything i had been watching. So after this happened 3 times i finally asked him if he knew what was going on. He sheepishly explained that he had been watching it while i was at work.

Now i'm not sure if i was pissed b/c he was watching it alone (maybe wishing he had those girls instead of me) or b/c he was watching it on MY computer!!!! Yeah! That's like borrowing your wife's phone so you can call your mistress.

I know how you feel about this, but he should at least be watching it on his computer. Or does he have one? Either way...

i would say no, you can't stop ur mind from wandering, you jsut can;t cuz if you tell urself to not think about it, ur doing it anyway

-- Posted by fran09 at 2:27 am on July 29, 2008

It depends if your partner has a problem with it, since they are masturbating to someone else it can hurt the other person, and obviously if they don't agree with the industry that it can be mad worse.

However if they have no problem with it, then there is no problem created between the people. Either way is pretty normal and there is nothing wrong with both views.
