instead of keys, there were switches. and they required tons of fans to keep them cool. They were usually the size of entire rooms.

they were the size of a room over heat very easy did very few thing (giant calculators basically) and did not have a keyboard...me grandpa worked with one lol ive heard enough about it

Hurr, there's this thing I hear called the Internet, which provides access to all sorts of wonderful informations. Then some geniuses thought "Hey! We've got this great information tool, but all the information is scattered everywhere. Why don't we collect the best bits of it and store it in one convenient place! It'll be like an encyclopedia! But we can't call it that, because that's boring and boring is for old people. We need something hip...new...something from...THE FUTURE! So let's call it wikipedia. All the old people will be like "-pedia sounds smart!" and the new people will be like "dang that sounds cool!" and we will win over the hearts of all the people of the world that can afford computers". Moral of the story: Wikipedia that shit, durr.
