Are the chances high or low that someone will need to be replaced right now as an RA? I am a new RA and training begins in 2 weeks. Do you think it's safe to say most people will stick with the job and no one wil leave? Or is it common for people to leave this close to the time school starts?

you have to be at least a sophomore to be eligible to be an RA and to answer your question, i've never had an RA leave before. i've seen an RA 'fired' but never leave under no unusual circumstances

Anything could happen, but this late in the summer, if they were gonna get a new job they probably would have done so already. I would have checked for available spots before beginning training.

Not at my school, they don't. All you need is to go apply, get the interview, and if they need someone, apply the right standards, and you're pretty much guaranteed the job.

It really depends on your school, the standards/requirements.

Some RA's chosen before the summer ended up not having the grade requirements so they can't be an RA.
