Breakfast: 100 calories worth of popcorn 1 200 calorie protein bar 1 100 calorie granola bar Then I go for a 45 minute run with hills. 1 apple 100 calories worth of popcorn 1 260 calorie Healthy Choice meal Snack: 1 hardboiled egg Dinner: salad with 1 tbsp. of lite ranch dressing I'm a recovering anorexic and I'm trying to eat more, but I'd like to gain the weight back in muscle and not fat. Is this a healthy diet, and will I gain the weight in muscle if I'm working out while I try to gain weight?

I'd add in a bit more protein if you're looking to gain muscle, and make sure you're getting enough fat (the good kind). Fish is good.

Well you have to build back up slowly, so this is a good start, but you need to increase your calorie intake because you seem to be working off all the calories you're eating. When you excercise, your metabolic rate increases and it doesn't go down when you stop excercising straight away so even for a while after your run you're still burning off calories. You need to, if you want muscular weight, eat more calories so that your body can process them into muscle, not just burn them off. Your recommended daily amount of calories is 2000 and it doesn't look like you're eating nearly that. With that said, you're supposed to do half an hour of excercise a day and you're doing more. Your body has no meat on it to turn into muscle. Just follow the RDAs and you'll be fine.
