is to be an isensitive to random people on lw.  I guess because everyone brings me down I have to do the same to feel good. Am I a bad person, and whats a better way to feel good?

I was told to post this here in reply to you, so here you go.

From HatesYou:

You are most definitely not a bad person.
This is the internet, feel free to do as you please, for all I care.
I'm quite sure that most of those which lurk about do not behave the same way in real life. And most importantly, I'm sure that you are not alone.
The random people on here are a good form of entertainment. Fun to fuck around with and all.
However, you might also want to think of their reason for being here. Same reason as you perhaps? Or simply to get away from all the bullshit in life?
I know you said that everyone brings YOU down, however, there's always someone out there with a worse situation.
What you speak of, this doing "the same to feel good" nonsense, is just that. Nonsense. There's tons of shit you could do in replacement to this. You are simply stooping down to the level of stupidity.
Honestly, how great do you feel after doing shit like this? Only to return the following day and repeat? I think not.
You, my dear anonymous, should know so much better.
I'm not sure who these people are that bring you down exactly, but you can always confront them like an adult. Bringing others down is a cowardly ordeal. Pieces of shits with an ego boost do it out of spite.
I'm quite sure that you alone are probably worth alot more than all the bitches that bring you down.

A better way to feel good? Friends. Social events. Or simply sitting down with someone and confessing all your troubles. Whether it be someone here on LW or someone you know in real life.
A confession is a confession.

THese people that bring me down are the good looking popular ones.  But beinga jurk on here makes me feel great.  I've tried talking about my problems but I  get generic answers, "Just go out and be social" I can't do that it's not that easy

you can try to fix the issues that are making you feel bad about yourself. wanna talk about that? we might be able to help.

it's definitely possible to feel good by doing things that other people appreciate or admire. in my opinion, that's a better way. one place to start is working on a positive mindset in general. keep living your life, but create some goals or shift your current goals to things that you'll really like and that won't have a negative impact on your family or peers. and i'm mostly talking about small, short-term goals. things that will make you feel better for now, if achieved. after that, start thinking about the bigger goals that build off of the smaller ones. anything come to mind?

I don't take it out on my family.  My issues are unfixable like, being too ugly to date. My only real goal right now is to play baseball.  Doing good in school isn't one becuz I'm already great at it.  I have a too way mind baseball and finding love

that's not unfixable. you can't be too ugly to date. maybe with the way people act around you now, you think that, but there have to be people who don't think you're ugly, whether you know them now or later. people have different tastes...eventually you'll find somebody who you know appreciates you and wants to date you. just try to keep your head up and your eyes open.

doing well in school and baseball are two things that you can be proud of, things that others inevitably admire. you can use those to feel better about yourself. imagine the struggles other people have with those things, and compare that to what they're like for you. honestly, take some time to think about it. see if you can make yourself smile about what you have that other people don't have. i'm not suggesting that you then proceed to rub it in their faces, but you can keep that in mind when anybody tries to bring you down about it or something else. you're not a complete loser because you have those things to be proud of.
