Its free; it also has receiving capabilities. -- Posted by DefaultTo0 at 11:19 am on Aug. 22, 2008 If you're only going to be sending SMS messages from your PC, then you could use one of many web-based services which lets you send messages to any phone for free.  Some are more reliable than others though. If you want to do this from your phone you can do this also, as long as your phone has a reasonable connection speed to the internet.
