I just went to the doctor today because I've been seeing strange things lately, and I got back some pretty terrifying news. The doc said that my symptoms match one of two fairly rare disorders that cause blindness. We aren't sure at this point, but one of three things might happen to me. I might have an eye disorder, I might have a brain disorder (that affects the eyes) and I might just be suffering from a severe lack of sleep (which would mean that I get to keep my eyesight.) But I'm so fucking stressed out right now because I highly doubt that it's lack of sleep, so that means that I might be going blind.

I can't fucking imagine being blind, because my whole life revolves around seeing things. My hobbies are video games and art, both of which require eyesight, and I was planning on doing work with computers as a career. I would never be able to get the job I want, I would never be able to watch another movie, I would never be able to draw or paint again, I would never be able to drive a car again...If I go blind, my whole life is fucking over. I'm completely emotionally fucked right now because of all this, and it's killing me.

Anyway, I'm going in for more tests next week to see if my life will be ruined for sure, so I've been praying that it's not what the doctor said it was.

Number one, Do you play video games close to the TV? Two, do you play it while wearing glasses close to the TV? and Three, keep away from video games and sleep dude! Trust me. I dont think its a problem if you keep away from video games for a little bit. Well if you dont sit near the tv if you play games, then i would have to say something is wrong with your eyes. But good lucks!

I always sit across the room from the TV when I play games, and I only play games once every few days. It's not like I play all the time. And I don't wear glasses; I've had 20/20 all my life.

I've had vision problems for a little longer than a week now. But it's still happening, and the doctor says that it's a symptom of whatever disorder it was. And as for the genes thing...well both of my grandfathers went blind at around fifty, but I'm not sure if it was for the same reason as me.
