I need to buy some new clothes for school, but I only have $1,000.

Any advice on how to be thrifty besides buying my clothes at cheap retailers such as Wal*Mart or Target?

Whats wrong with Wal-mart?  They have plenty of fine merchandise.

go to consignment shops, twice as nice etc, you can find really cool stuff.

check out outlet malls etc as well for factory cast-offs that are still in great shape.

Stop being a rich slut and gtfo -_-

$1000 is enough money so long as you don't wear whore clothes.

Well, personally, I think 1,000 dollars is already way to stretched.  How much clothes do you need exactly for the next school year?  Even if you buy things that are 50 dollars each, that's 20 items...

Personally, I would set myself a budget of 300, and buy clothes in that range to match it.  I would save the rest in case I needed it, or if I happened to find something that I really wanted, and I would have more than enough left over.

1,000 dollars is a lot.
i have 27 bucks, and i still shop at A&F and stuff.
forever 21 has cheap deals though.

Go to outlet stores.

Also, buy clothes that aren't in season, they're usually on sale. Seeing as it's August you might be able to grab some early summer wear.

Also there's tons of back to school sales and whatnot so keep an eye out for bargains.

Don't spend the 1k in one trip... just keep an eye out for deals in the coming month.

oh god u wont be able to buy 200$ jeans. Ya this is plenty.. if u want to wear only "cool" stuff u can get away with 20 doller shirts and like 40-50 dollar pants. that should get u some stuff. or shop at ross or tj maxx where u get discounted stuff or ebay has a lot of good stuff if u know ur sizes.
