So I've got a friend who wants to apply to a college in Ireland, and he's thoroughly convinced he'll be able to do it. Nevermind the fact that his grades and rank are absolute shit, and his extracurriculars aren't extraordinary. Let's not forget the fact that this lazy fucker hasn't even bothered taking his SAT's.

And he thinks that it's very possible to get into an Irish college.

I told him that the application process there is completely different, but he doesn't want to hear it.

Major lulz. He's a shit student, yet he thinks there's some great chance of him getting into an Irish college.

I was thinking of doing the same, I really want to get out of the States. But I've actually tried a bit in school, so hopefully I'll have a chance

It is possible to apply, it's just hard to get in if the school doesn't have a large international program.

it's really expensive to go to university abroad, but then again, U.S uni fees are through the fucking roof.

I was going to apply for Trinity College in Dublin, but my school advised me against it because for my course Trinity is very, very, very competitive. Still, it all depends on where you apply/what for.
