If you race in to it, you're almost guaranteed to get a negative and waste a bunch of money. It's 2-3 weeks after intercourse for it to be the most accurate. You may not technically even be pregnant for another two weeks so taking a test in a week won't work. ;) -- Posted by swtpie at 3:01 pm on Aug. 17, 2008 14....omg. I read something yesterday...."Childhood is a journey, not a race." So slow it down. You have to wait at least 19 days. But seriously, don't test unless you're late. I've waster that many being 4 days late.
