Has anyone ever been in a long distance relationship? If so how could i know he is for real, and want me for real? How would i know he loves me when he does?

Because im in one now, quite frankly idk if he is serious. When we talk we only speak of how much he loves and misses me. When i try to start up a convosation he doesnt speak. When asked why, he's either tired or dont know what to say. I find it odd. When i ask if he is sure he wants this, he says yes, im his life etc, and he's more open in person. But yet why not talk? So idk if he truly into me.

Any advice? On ways to know

I haven't and never will.
They are a waste of time.
You're so much better off finding someone who lives close by.

Yes. And they suck. It's hard to be away from someone you care about all the time.

I've been in one before, and it was basically that.

He's probably for real for the most part, but I can say that in my experience, the love doesn't last very long. Mine lasted 3 months, then everything fell apart.

But don't give up, try and find a way to meet him some time, always talk to him, he might just be busy or distracted.

they dont work

I started my relationship on a long-distance basis and it blossomed into the most amazing partnrship that has lasted 8 years!

The separation makes each person very potent to the other. Although we get along really well and always have done, on the phone we often seemed to both be more shy.

Do you have any plans to live closer together in future? That should make things easier, at least having such a plan.

You just know. You put Faith and Trust into it.

I dated my ex girlfriend, online, for almost a year. I loved her, and still do. But we weren't each's soulmates.

they really dont work

Then explain the success of eharmony and chemistry.com.

Love knows no boundaries, nor distance.

They can work, but lots fail. Depends how serious you guys are and if you control temptation and like a million other things. My roomate is going on 3 yrs, and every year his GF is a few states away. So it can work.
