The mentality is basically, you can exercise all you want, but at the end of the day, there is someone else who is going to look better than you, and that's because they were born with it. Do you believe in this mentality? I do, simply because I'm a fitness buff. I know too many people who go running twice a week, and think they are going to Jessica Alba's body. First off, You'd have to exercise way more than that, but most importantly, that may just be her body type. I think people should understand that.

true story...obviously you can change it somewhat, but some things are unchangable

Yeah I completely understand what you mean, but it's frustrating lol... Cause you work so hard, but sometimes you just cannot change your body type.

I think your body type is based on how you grew up and your metabolism. It's tough to get rid of the fat you had as a kid. For some reason, I can't get all that fat. I work out less than most kids who are way fatter than me. I'm just lucky. It must be really tough being fat and not being able to do anything about it.

I think you're right. You can work out and exercise all you want, but that will only work for you to a certain extent. After that, it all depends on your genes.

I think so, too, but I also think too many people use this as an excuse rather than pushing themselves a bit. For example, if I lose a few more pounds, even with the decent muscle I've got, I'll start being lightheaded every time I stand up, and I'll still have fat, especially abdominal fat. But until I REALLY get ill or I stay at a low weight and the lightheadedness doesn't go away, I can't blame it on genetics. If I simply CANNOT, despite real long-term effort, get a superthin body, then I"ll know it's genetics and I'll deal.

I've never done solid excersise in my life, eat far too much, drink a lot and smoke. Yes I still have a slim body and a semi defined stomach....so yes.
