I try to, but really need to up my reading quota. My favorite books are the Magician's Nephew, 1984, Animal Farm, Monster (Autobiography of an L.A. Gang Member) Batman Hush (graphic novel, but still good), House of the Scorpion & Lord of the Flies (creepy, creepy, book).

My recent favorite is You Know Where To Find Me by Rachel Cohn. Book seemed kinda girly (to be honest its my first read with a female narrator/protagonist) so it was kinda uncomfortable to slip into her skin, but by the end it pretty much blew my mind. It came vout at like beginning of the summer. If you read it too, tell me what you think.

So, what are some of your favorite reads? And feel free to share your taste in literature. Could get some good discussion out of this. 1

The best book I ever read is an autobiography of a german soldier on the eatern front in WW2. Amazing book...it just really shows how awful that front which doesnt get as much talk about was. And how brutal the russians were and how could they possibly have been on our side?

Recently read a book called Palestinian Walks: Forays Into a Vanishing Landscape. Never got to finish the book, but it was very good, regardless.

My favorite books are The Joy Luck Club, The Catcher In The Rye, The Great Gatsby, 1984, A Clockwork Orange, and The Lord Of The Rings.

I tend to like literature that's older but not so old that the writing/language is so different that I have to struggle through it.  I like it when a story feels timeless, which is why I don't like reading new literature with a lot of references to cell phones and SUVs and the like.

But most of all, I love a book when it's slightly strange/off/unsettling.  God, I really love that.
