Because of my learning difficulties I am entitled to have a laptop to help me take notes in lessons, and to do my coursework at college. I have a lot of trouble writing quickly or for more than 2 minutes. I also have appalling hand writing. Thing is I am worried that I will break it (I have to return it at the end of my course) and another part of my disability means I lose things, so thats a worry too. Plus I have 45 minutes to travel everyday and I am physically very weak so it might be hard to carry it? opinions, advice please?

See if they have a small model of laptop that is cheap/light/tough. I know ASUS used to make them like that.

you could always just try it out and then say it's not working and give i back...or couldn't you just keep hold of it in class until you need to take it home or something.

They should consider all aspects of you disability. Tell them what you need and they should accommodate all your needs.
