pros- not sure other then "it makes you feel good" or "its fun" cons- you can make yourself crave it [aka your bodys not addicted you mind is ] illegal

Hmm. Pros- You can act like an idiot and say it was all just the weed, man. Cons- Everything.

Some Pro's: * Some people may feel chilled out, relaxed and happy, while others have one puff and feel sick. * Others get the giggles and may become talkative. * Hunger pangs are common and are known as 'getting the munchies'. * Users may become more aware of their senses or get a feeling of slowing of time, which are due to its hallucinogenic effects. Some con's: * Even hardcore smokers can become anxious, panicky and suspicious. * It affects your coordination, which is one of the reasons why drug driving is just as illegal as drink driving. * Some people think cannabis is harmless just because it's a plant - but it isn't harmless. Cannabis, like tobacco, has lots of chemical 'nasties', which can cause lung disease and cancer with long-term or heavy use, especially as it is often mixed with tobacco. It can also make asthma worse. * Cannabis is risky for anyone with a heart problem as it increases the heart rate and can affect blood pressure. * There's also increasing evidence of a link between cannabis and mental health problems such as schizophrenia. If you've a history of mental health problems, depression or are experiencing paranoia, then taking this drug is not a good idea. * Frequent use of cannabis can cut a man's sperm count and suppress ovulation in women. If you're pregnant, smoking cannabis may harm the baby. * Regular, heavy use makes it difficult to learn and concentrate. Some people begin to feel tired all the time and can't seem to get motivated. * Some users may want to buy stronger herbal cannabis to get 'a bigger high' but unpleasant reactions can be more powerful when you use stronger strains, and stronger varieties may lead in time to more severe dependence or more severe mental health effects. Don't smoke weed. You'll get the munchies, which is the most dangerous condition known to man.
-- Posted by Al Legator at 6:46 am on Aug. 19, 2008
I agree with Mark15UKs post- there are some very pleasant effects. Or obviously no-one would smoke it. The negative effects he noted will not apply to all people at all times. Rather than add to his list I`ll only add two comments.: Increasingly pot is being spiked with addictive drugs to- DUH- make it addictive so you keep coming back. Therefore it is not just cannabis but (for instance) cannabis/cocaine. THis is clever -and unregulated marketing but organised crime which is what you are fudning when you buy from most dealers. Sure, the guy may be a guy you've known for a long time, but look up the chain of supply and it's organised crime. The other thing that really disturbs me is that even if you were to fidn "pure" pot grown by some Granny in her backyard garden, pot-heads (many, many of whom I've counted among friends in the past) are , as a group, low or no motivation losers. You'll eventually find yourself hanging out only with them and written off by your other friends. Pot smokers will never admit to being a loser and some will point to maintinaing good grades. Good for them! There are exceptions of course.ANd it is also true that many adults carrying on successful careers also smoke pot sometimes. But they aren't hanging around bridges and school yards at night with their buddies, making getting high a major part of their day/week/life. So, beyond the fact that it is illegal and you will face some consequences if you get caught (no, no man! No-one ever gets caught, lol!) if you want to try it, that's your decision. It may remain attractive for you or may not. BTW in case anyone thinks I'm over the top anti-pot, I'm not. I recognise there are certain hypocrisies built into society that allows/promotes intoxication by alcohol but not cannabis (assuming you can still get anadulterated cannabis). But that is a different issue. I also think the laws are ridiculously out of date and should stop creating an un-even and sometimes heavy handed approach to enforcement, giving thousands criminal arrest and/or conviction records. Again- that's another issue.

What are you talking about? Where did you ever encounter pot being spiked with cocaine? First the cocaine would cost the dealer more. Next it would cost the dealer customers who notice that his pot is spiked with cocaine. Third if you put cocaine in such small amounts into pot that you don't notice it then smoking it would have virtually no effect anyway.

No it doesn't. If a dealer laces their bud they will tell you and charge you more. ITS FUCKING ECONOMICS. Look I have a $20 bag of weed (1.5 grams), I dump in $20 worth of coke. I'm not going to sell it for $20, I'm not going to sell it for $30, I'm not going to sell it for $40, I'm going to sell it for $45 at least, most likely $50-$60, then you will ask why its so expensive and I will tell you in order to explain the outrageous price. Its called ECONOMICS, they teach it to you in school. No dealer will sell you weed laced with an "addictive" drug and not tell you. Besides adding addictive drugs to weed in order to keep a customer coming back is retarded. Weed dealers are as common as pennies in parking lots.

I R SEKZ did you rip off Erowid? I swore I read that before but some it looks new lol. Anyways I always considered a pro of weed was the cheapness. For about the same price of a 26ozer of booze, I could have enough weed to last a bit over a week. The bottle would likely last me only one night though :(. I guess the negative depends on the person and their habits. I know some people who smoke about $70 of weed a day. They get bored and smoking just becomes something to do. I was like that for awhile, it's not the weed's fault. Also the weed gave me bad heart pains for awhile whenever I smoked. It was very unpleasant and I know other people who have the same problem.
