-- Posted by iBritt at 7:52 am on Aug. 19, 2008 So, a couple of months after I first joined LW, there was this member who made my life on LW a living hell.  Anything that I posted, and I really do mean anything, they always had some derogatory comment to make about me, and it didn't even pertain to the topic. I would reply to a topic about a band or something, and then they would quote my post, saying something about how ugly they thought I was or anything of that manner. I was elated when I saw that they were banned. Elated.  Soooo excited. And recently, they have returned, and I told a certain mod about my fears, and that mod was really really unhelpful. Well, this morning, I sign on to look at topic that I posted, and lo and behold, there's this member with his derogatory comments again. So my question is - when I report a post, does anything really happen? If it's clear that they're harrassing you and not just innocently replying, then a moderator will issue them an informal warning telling them to stay away. After that, you should not contact them at all or reply to their posts. Then if they start harrassing you again, we can issue a formal warning. SOMEONE has to look at the report and they are stored to be viewed later if needed. The only thing with reports is that sometimes if you have a series of issues with one member, that is sometimes not looked at... usually only the current post or message you report is looked at. Edit: In regards to the post in question, I did not post that reply with malicious intent.  I merely meant that the situation you find yourself and fear may happen is seldom how it works out.  Chances are that you aren't going to allow yourself to succumb to the first bit of sexual attention you get.  I apologize for the misunderstanding. On another note, you did message me when I got pardoned and I was advised not to talk to you because I do have a history of harassment against you, but as far as I'm concerned, the past is the past and I've never done anything this time around to intentionally cause mental strain to you.  In other words, stop getting so butthurt over some random asshole on the internet.  If you allow someone under your skin on the internet, you're going to be even more vulnerable in real life.
