He did. But he wasnt in the lead, he just has long monkey arms. Besides, I thought it was electronic. Like, when they touch, it records it, so they can remove human error.

the pads ARE electronic. this is not the 1950's and 60's.

Then why does everyone think he did get the touch first? He did. The stills prove it. He may not have been ahead (long monkey arms) but he still touched first, which is considered finishing first.

not every1 thought that he did. from the overhead shot, the other guy (i forgot his name) clearly looked like he touched 1st. but, not the case in the end.

i think the point is that it could be rigged. times could be taken from the touch pad and altered so that they're still believable, but with the losing athlete called the winner. i mean, we aren't getting a direct feed from the touch pad. it goes through a computer system and it goes through officials. it could be corrupted somewhere along the line.

if "we" are not getting a direct feed from the pad, then what the hell are we getting then??

But its not like one country runs the system. If the IOC rigs it, its going to be rigged regardless. However, I dont really see this happening. Besides, the stills proved he won by using his freakishly long, douchebag arms.
