called the "skinny block". It lasts 30 minutes and is a complete waste of time. Right now they're just drilling it into the seniors' heads that they must pass the on-demand writing test in a couple months for the sake of humanity....or something to that extent. I exaggerate. They've even gone as far as saying that if we don't do well then they take away parking privileges. Even though we PAY for those. And some people just aren't good writers, it can't really be helped. It's not fair.

If you can't pass a school-wide writing test then you pretty much [I hate to say things like this, it makes me sound stupid, but..] fail at life. You don't have to be a literary bombshell to pass those stupid tests, they don't test you on your poetic diction, they test you to see if you can read a paragraph and understand it, and then follow up by writing some sort of answer to some so-simple-a-third-grader-could-do-it comprehension question.

its not really a question. We have to write an article or speech or something. In two 45 minute periods.
