I mean like small pies, not like big apple pies....

As in steak and cheese or potato top?

They're really popular in New Zealand and OZ.

I love eating them in winter

Just don't eat too many or you will get obsese

don't people in the UK eat hot pot pies that are popular?

-- Posted by OodleNoodle at 3:21 am on Aug. 20, 2008

Well, shepherd's pie, yes. And chicken/beef/turkey pot pie.

But others, like steak and kidney pie, are not popular here.

Probably, most of the pie consumed in the US and Canada is of the dessert variety.

However, my family are Kiwis, Aussies and Brits, so I've had mince pies and such.

Mincemeat here is fruit and spices and raisins. Mincemeat in NZ, Oz and the UK is actual beef - I've had both kinds.
