Brilliant. I had a sneaking suspicion that you'd display a complete lack of spine there, and I was completely right.

Where's the culture, you guys. It's a famous 19th century paining by Courbet.

I got a picture from another account deleted because it showed the nipples, even though it was part of an oil painting, not like some random nude pic of a chic. If artistic nudity is allowed, why did it get deleted?

So your criteria here is that it must be a 'famous' (and yet relatively obscure) artwork for the display of a naked body to be allowable and in fact moderator endorsed? And that a picture that is less famous but very comparable in subject matter is in fact not allowed?

Paintings and kings, architecture and lords, that isn't real culture. That's just a load of old relics from the upper classes. Real culture is shaped in the dingy streets where the ragged people go. Real culture of a country is from it's people.

The upper class doesn't count because I feel alienated by and slightly envious of them. Yes, I'm comfortable in my self-serving beliefs because I only have to care about me.

As I understand it, the present policy is that nudity in non-photographic art is acceptable at each moderators own personal discretion. Obviously, the moderator in question thought it was okay to allow Audrey's avatar under that rule.
-- Posted by violaghost at 7:45 am on Aug. 20, 2008
That's fucked up, man. Just as far as the rules go, that's fucked up. You're a red bar, you should know better.

I don't think that it's going to get you banned, but wtf? Edit: It doesn't really bother me, but that's not something that I was expecting. But whatever floats your boat, I suppose.
