can someone please explain to me what a sticky topic is.

i had a topic deleted because

'there is now a sticky'

Its a topic which is placed up at the top of the forum, it never moves down in placing.

Its probably because it is a subject which is talked about a lot and discussion is better placed in a sticky.

Or some guideline for the specific forum may be posted there.

it means there has been so many topics made about the subject, they made it a major topic, thats what the post with the notebook symbols mean

Instead of having tons of topics on the same thing, they make one topic which has all the info over that topic.
