Over the past few days you may have noticed some avatars or images presented by members and moderators which are of an nude artistic nature. There has been a lot of discussion between moderators about how we should handle these images, if we should allow them on our servers, if we should have them at all on the site. The moderation has come to the decision of the following guidelines to be observed of nudity in art and similar things:- - To disallow any form of nudity in avatars - To disallow any form of nudity in image baskets. - To allow nudity (as a link from an external site) if it is present in a reasonable form in art in the midst of a legitimate discussion of art. (No Photographs) Also there has been some confusing over what we allow for swimwear and similar clothing. As a moderation team we have decided that we do not want images of people in underwear posted in on the site nor to have swimwear out of context. - You may not post/upload images of yourself or others in underwear - You may only post/upload yourself in swimwear for a suitable location, such as at a beach or pool. We have decided upon this as we don't want pictures on LiveWire of young teenagers simply posing with near to no clothes on, or to post pictures to simply be sexually suggestive. If you have any questions concerning this please don't hesitate to ask.

Finally! I mean you should have already had this rule in the first place. Art or not there is no need to have nudity on here. If people want to look at nude pictures they can fucking look them up.

I kinda agree becuase there are creepy old people that will try to find the girls posting themselves in underwear and swim wear. So if girls are doign this i stil advice ( even if this wasnt a rule ) not to do it becuase there are creeps out there that might try to get you to do things you wont want to. also knowen as Rape. The nudity on pictures and Stuff I agree becuase i have met some 12 year olds. 13 year olds... and well im 14 turning 15. so yea there are some kids on this site so be carful the web pages links i agree to be allowed but warn about what it is. becuase some 12 year odl might not know and go "OMG" lol i hope alot of you agree with what the mods are saying becuase i see there point.

Are statues included in this? I remember seeing an avatar of Michelangelo's David.

Haha, that's good to hear, for me anyway. I can set my avatars to "on" again. Then again, I'm kind of liking this no avatar thing... :).

My tree is naked. Will it be took away =[[ ? By the way: Nice idea. [:

Sad...I think the art should have stayed. BUT, come on...be a bit stricter when it comes to some IBs...they may not be naked, but when you can see more breasts than face...

Keep the nudity art to discussion in topics, not in avatars or image baskets.

I feel it's rather sad how some moderators acted. Though apparently that doesn't need to be discussed.

Why, Sam, now what will you do during those lonely days of moderating with no companionship to ease the ache in your groin?

It should be. Isn't there some rule about Moderator 'code of conduct'?
