I stupidly showed my boyfriend the picture of Anne Frank that used to be in xJosex IB basket. He took major offense to it and now he thinks less of me and is really pissed at me. I'm a fucking idiot.   He won't even talk to me.

I was just saying that the picture was meant as means of taking a bit of the heavy tone off, not to make fun of it. I guess it makes more sense to me.

I was just saying that the picture was meant as means of taking a bit of the heavy tone off, not to make fun of it. I guess it makes more sense to me.
I can see what you're saying, but I can also see how it was offensive to him. It's a good thing to try to be less serious about it so it doesn't totally depress everyone, but you've also got to understand that some people don't even think that simple matter is acceptable to joke about. It's a sensitive subject. Maybe you should just wait it out, give him a little time to cool down, and then explain everything to him.

Like I said, give him time and give yourself time to cool down. I know you're stressed, but if you keep thinking about it and worrying about what might happen, you're just going to stress out even more. Do anything that relaxes you and just quit thinking for now.

Like I said, give him time and give yourself time to cool down. I know you're stressed, but if you keep thinking about it and worrying about what might happen, you're just going to stress out even more. Do anything that relaxes you and just quit thinking for now.
