I think I'm about to get air conditioning in my room. You can only get it with a doctor's note. At first I thought I would be fine without it, you know, turn a couple fans on in the room and stay cool, but I think the lack of air conditioning is affecting me now. See, when my allergies get really back then my throat gets dry and scratchy, and that's what is happening now. So, I think when I go home this weekend I might ask my mom to call the doctor for me. Gah, it sucks. Tell me I'm not alone in this kind of allergy pain....

Air conditioning like, filters the air or whatever, it recylces the air in a room to prevent from stale hot air or allergians from lingering there. Other things that sort of help do this are humidifiers or de-humidifiers. So, air conditioning doesn't cause allergies, but a lack of air conditioning can make your allergies worse.

That's weird why would you need a doctor's note to get AC? Edit Sorry I get it now, at the first school I was at the dorms weren't located on school, they were actually in a non-school hotel so the school didn't have anything really to do with the rooms.

Actually, to dorms are on campus, but they're all old buildings that weren't originally built with ac. Then also, you can only get an ac through the school (certain requirements and avoiding legal stuff I guess), but since there are only a limited amount, you have to have a legit reason like a medical reason where you actually NEED one.
