She said: "The guy raped me when I was 12. He beat the sh*t out of me." She said it so freely you know? I feel like she's just doing this for attention. When I responded with, "Who was it? I'll choke him," she actually smiled and giggled and said "are you okay?" I feel like shes just trying to see if I'm protective of her or not? Because... if she gives in to the emotion, then it becomes more "real', in my opinion.  If she admits that it bothers her, then it hurts so much more... and she may also be worried about your reaction... and maybe wants to avoid a large session on discussing the matter... I mean, it could be anything.  I wouldn't immediately pass it off as lying... because again, many people take on a different reaction to certain things.  My boyfriend was telling me about how his dad was beating him, and he was laughing about the story.  My sister and I were talking about our mom, and how I never stuck around to get hit by a hanger to know if she was serious.  And then she said, "oh, I've been hit" and then we laughed about it.  Laughing and jokes are one way people relieve the tension on touchy situations... -- Posted by JellyBean1 at 10:37 am on Aug. 26, 2008 no she could be. i was and that is how i act, holdin it in hurts more then telling ppl.. I went out with a girl who said she was 'raped' but in reality, she invited a 30 year old man over to her house to have sex, then she regreted it and claimed he raped her.
