So I was talking to my friend about hallucinogens the other day. He began talking about how nowadays, when he's looking at something, the colors are more vivid than they used to be. As I looked around, I somewhat noticed the same thing. It could just be a placebo, but I feel like things seem a bit brighter sometimes (especially if on a different drug like thc), brighter than the norm. What about you guys?

I definately see a difference I noticed that too. :P It's like they're just more vivid now or .. noticeable.

I don't take any, but your post suddenly reminded me of The Doors of Perception by Aldous Huxley. Just thought I'd share..

I notice more vivid colors, or even the "breathing effect" of inanimate objects, for several days after I trip. Depends greatly on the amount taken and the number of times I've taken it within the past month or so though.

but it will be different for everyone..how would everyone notice?

I've done acid two times but I don't see a difference. My brain is a bit fucked and my perception is strange but that's probably more from meth, xtc and k.

At times, generally when really high, I can recall some aspects of dose, especially slightly moving tree limbs. Searching through my posts says this.

Its more of a mental thing than "teh chemicalz in yr sytsemz' IMO psychedelics do not open "doors" or "make you open your perception" but rather short circuit your thought patterns for a few hours. Despite that, I enjoy psychedelics. I do notice things are different, but I think it stems from the brain temporarily being "fried" and starts to analyze things differently after being tampered with for a bit

Looking at that, it would seem I have HPPD. In general, things seem shinier than usual, and woodgrain can get really interesting to look at sometimes. Hmm. I'd hate to overdiagnose myself, though. Based on your flashback post, however that's uncannily familiar to what I experience on the daily.

Like most disorders, HPPD is only diagnosed when it causes problems in your life:
B. The symptoms in Criterion A cause clinically significant distress or impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.
That aside, it's possible that you have what is essentially a very mild form of HPPD. Try and see if the symptoms decrease after a longer period of abstinence on psychedelics; a lot of people find that these types of flashbacks are only prominent for a little while after using/ after using heavily for a period of time.

I've never noticed this, no.

Sometimes I do notice breathing effects days after doing a pyschadelic. Like the carpet may wave or what have you. I have to say though that it doesn't last. If I don't do anything for an extended period things just return to normal.
