Is turning into a fucking bible thumper. He went out and bought a bible and cover thing whatever for 60 bucks. I dunno how much bibles usually cost but that seems a bit much. I fucking knew this men my brother was hanging out with would do this. My family has never been religious, but if he wants to do this fine. But fuck I hate it.

BE SUPPORTIVE.
It makes him happy.

That sucks. Big time.

Why is that such a bad thing? It's not like he's going to go get shot by rehearsing bible stories.

You can get bibles for free at your local church...why would he buy one?

isnt it a good thing that hes found something to believe in? religious people are typically much happier than athiests.

$60 for a bible ? haha wow, that's a little too much.

-- Posted by Jordan04 at 10:31 pm on Aug. 26, 2008

why can't he just believe what he wants to believe?

-- Posted by runthespread at 10:32 pm on Aug. 26, 2008

$60 for a Bible versus what, $60 for a shirt or something? You should be supportive, some people find peace of mind in believing in higher powers and teachings. Just because you weren't raised religious does not necessarily peg you against religion.

why does it bother you so much?  its his money so he can spend it how he wants...and if he now decides that he wants to be religious then so be it, be happy for him and leave him be

You have two, very simple, options to choose from---

A) Go back in time and destroy that man before he has any effect on your brother

or

B) Take away your brother's bible and replace it with a handwritten one from you, with only one page that reads 'Do it for the lulz', and hell be cured.

So whats it going to be?

Do you think before making such large assumptions?

Apparently not, at least not online.
