But my "almost-boyfriend" (Story not neccessary) is in Basic training right now and has told me some of what he expects from it, but I won't be able to give you honest, straightforward details until he comes back. He says it's fantastic pay, and amazing credentials that can help you land many, many jobs.  It's hard work, obviously, but worth it. Just... be prepared to lay it all on the line for your country, y'know? I would expect he would come home for Christmas, too, but he said that... wait... OH! He did mention it, kind of... he had left me a voice message saying that I had to "last 5 months without him" and I was like "Uh... August - April = 9 months..." So maybe he will be back in December. We were treated like shit all the time, went out in the field when we were not suppose to be. They don't care about you, really. Also, I live in Korean war era barrack. Trust me, it isn't what the recruiters tell you. Also, I heard stories from veterans of Afghanistan and they said they accidentally bomb a whole village then they blamed it on the terrorist. I am sorry but that right there is against what I believe. I don't believe in killing women and children. I also heard they ran over this girl with a humvee. I didn't want to deal with that so I got out. So do whatever you want. I am just saying it wasn't for me.
