Of course we don't always get along(come on, we're sisters.) She's 21, the older sister to my 15, so of course she feels the need to take her authority over me at times and at times I feel like I am more mature than her. But she's never actually lived outside of the state before, South Carolina. Her Dad lives in Cali and so does her boyfriend(We have diff. dads, half-sisters but count each other as full), so she moved out there to be with her boyfriend, get a better job, go to college, and be closer to her Dad. It's been hard for me, because I'm used to having her right across the street from me. Now she's either a three day bus ride or eight hour plane ride from me. We're still sisters and I still miss her and love her no matter how much we fight. Anyone have a sibling that's moved to another state? And if so, how to deal with it?

I'm an only child now.. But when i was 13 i had an older brother named Tyler who died in a car wreck.. i loved him.. man.. i really miss him.. but i dealt with him being away all the time because there was an 11 year age difference.. and he was in the navy.. he was always off training.. but on his way back once.. another car t boned him and he died..

My sister moved to Switzerland when I was four years old. We're not close because of the 14 year age gap, but I know how it feels to have a part of you missing. Keep in contact with her online, send her postcards if you go away, ask for photos. (: Phone calls, too. Remember that she may be gone physically, but sisters have a bond. (:

My sister moved to college all the way in Boston. I got over it pretty quick because she couldn't boss me around anymore, and plus, you can always go visit her, talk on the phone, write letters, email, etc. Maybe you should have a heart to heart with her about this.
