Welcome, JimBobo.  You're my latest Novice!   As far as the WhiteBoard comments, some users have it set so that only their friends can comment on their WhiteBoards.  It's possible that this is the problem you have encountered. To add a member to your Friends, go to their profile, and in the drop down menu on the far right, select Add Friend.
