He always complains to me and then treats me like shit when I give him honest advice like "Don't just sit there and complain 24/7 get off your ass and change the way things are going." But he would rather bitch about his life and say he wishes he was dead instead of do stuff to change it. It has started to wear on me worrying about him. As much as I try to help him it just seems as if he would rather  be a martyr and be like "oh poor me" than do anything to make his life better. Any advice for me? Any advice for him?
