Ok so I had an appointment last wednesday and they of course checked my cervix and they said that I was only dialated 2 cm. They said that if I was still 2 cm by the next week (the 27) then they would induce me for labor. Well I went home and my boyfriend came over after school. We went for a nice long walk. Well that night I was having the worse contractions. I thought I was just in pain from the walk...but little did I know that I was in active labor. FINALLY! well we went the hospital and they were going to admit me but then they called my private doctor and he told them to admit me but give me pitocin to make my contractions closer. Well they  did then they broke my water. I was dialating fast and I was having contractions every 2 minutes. Then they realized that my baby's heart rate was going up and down and it was in danger zones. So they canceled the pitocin. The contractions were still coming like they were and I was still dialating pretty fast and the baby just couldnt handle it. So they gave me some meds. to stop the contractions...that only worked for 12 minutes and then I was back to work. Well then they put something up me to shoot fluids around the baby...that kinda worked for a while but not that great. well I got to the point where his heart rate was just not coming back up...so they checked me and I was 9 1/2 centimeters. They had to get him out there at that time or he was going to die. They had an OR prepped and everything. I didnt get a warning they just told me to start pushing. They had to cut me a little, thank GOD for that epideral. They had to pull him out with this plunger thing and when he came out he didnt make a sound. I couldnt say anything...I couldnt move until I heard him scream. Then i started shaking. My baby was ok...and I was so happy. He is a healthy little boy. He was born 5 lbs. 15 ounces...left 5 lbs. 11 ounces. now he is 6 lbs 4 oz. he is just beautiful.
