Well, you cannot make it run faster without going homebrew. The videos you have to find on your own, but you will have to convert them to .mp4 format.

Well, to make the connection as fast as possible, make sure you're close to the wifi router. This should increase download speed. Browsing speed would also improve. The software itself won't get any faster though. Try downloading updates, as these someties have internet configurations that speed up the net somewhat. As for the video's, they'd need to be in .mp4 format.

You can make the PSP run faster in its Internet Browser, In the Internet settings you can do things like turn off animations, flash apps, java script and you can turn on a conserve memory feature. By doing these things your PSP can speed up a bit. If you want it to download faster then you will have to move closer to your router to get a stronger signal. Also, make sure the movies you download are in MPEG-4 .mp4 format, or else they will not play on it.

Yeah, but the reason I didnt mention turning off those, is because some sites need java and flash enabled to display and function propperly, even on psp. I suggest leaving them on, unless you don't care about site viewability. Conserve memory would work, but slightly, and would also dim quality, as it dims picture quality
