if you tell people they can't do something it makes them want to do it. this will be like "cheat day" on a diet, everyone can get it all out of their system.

I'm not sure that "human nature" is something that you can "get [...] all out of their system". Even if everyone did all the crazy, illegal stuff they could think of for one day, they would still have their urges to cheat, steal, lie, kill, etc. on the day after.
