First day in college and all us new guys got "mentors" who show us round and help us out and shit.

The mentors are second year students.

Our mentor is called Donna. And I can make her laugh, I had great fun with her. She gave us ll her number in case we had a problem and I told her d call her "Don" and she says shed love to be called Don all sarcastically. SO i said How about Donny or Dorky Donna? And she laughs and says I can call her anything I want.

Anyways I caught her looking at me a couple of times, or she caught me or w/e.

I'm wondering if I should text her and say "Hey Don..."

She's just being nice. Upperclassmen are rarely, if ever, interested in freshers.

That is totally true. Most freshman are highly immature for their surroundings and freedoms they've gained. So hanging around them aren't something an Upperclassman wants. However, she is only a second year...the juniors and seniors are more likely to ignore you than she might. If you really want to try it out.....take your risk, but be prepared for potential let down

She's probably just messing with you for the fun of it. I do that to younger people all the time.
