Cons- Fuel, it would struggle to even get to my commodore in fuel economy and will probably average to about 23-25 mpg. 2.Pros- Is near brand new so it will still have warrenty. Not to mention would get much better economy then any of the other cars shown with around 40 mpg, its not that small either. Cons- Very slow(106hp) so it wont win any races, not to mention its looks are questionable. 3.Pros- Biggest car shown, has a very clean interior and has much more torque then any other car shown has RWD and 245hp not to mention will be the cheapest on insurance. Cons- Very heavy and is much worse on fuel then Even the VZ commodore with around 20 mpg. Its not really that fast either. 4. Pros- Like the Commodore and Falcon this car is farily Big, with adequate space inside, has a decent 3.8 V6 getting out 240hp will also have a few years of factory warrenty left. Cons - Its Heavy(not as much as Falcon) and has Fwd, not to mention reliability is questionable. 5.Pros- Good allround package that mixes speed and economy in one, getseasily over 30+ mpg and is faster then every other car bar the SV6. Cons- Australian models have been known to generte lots of tire noise, Parts are expensive.

Right now I'm favoring the SV6 just above the Yaris and Mazda 3. But fuel is incredibly expensive here and anything that gets lower then 30mpg gets really expensive to run.

I'm so glad our gas is cheap by world standards. Yet Australia still gets all the cool GM stuff

Nope its a high performance 3.6 the same used in the G8. 3800s were last used in the VY which finished in the start of 04.

Since I own a Mazda. I'm going to say go with the 3. Honestly I've yet to find anyone dissatisfied with them. They do get noisy at high speeds but then you put the pedal down and realize it doesn't fucking matter.
