I can understand wanting to be nicely thin, like this but i dont understand this http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc120/princeszbaby/thinspiration/no6.jpg http://i271.photobucket.com/albums/jj132/heyfloozy/00039.jpg for those of you with an ED, is there a point where you will want to stop, or is it just an ongoing thing, no matter how thin you get? Dont take my questions the wrong way. I'm just curious an am no judging or anything like that. BTW, I know it's psychological and I also know that is why I'll never fully understand it, but the only way to gain any type of insight is to actually ask these questions.

when i see the first girl, i automatically zone in on the fatty parts you never see yourself as being a nice shape, you always see the fat. it's a control method, and you're a success when you lose and a failure when you gain regardless of your current weight.

They see themselves differently... it's psychological.

Well when you have a ED you don't look at yourself thin even if you are very thin they still think they look fat and disgusting. Thats part of the disease so they when they are that thin they think there beautiful

the point of my eating disorder was to physically watch my body wither away. disgusting, but true. it was never about achieving that ideal weight. it's over now.

Jessica Alba is fat. I would rather be anorexic any day. At the moment, I'm sadly the opposite. Obese.

They never see themselves as "too thin"... they think Jessica Alba is skinnier then them, it's a psychological disorder.

and that is what i dont get. jessica alba has an amazing body. It's perfectly thin without being skinny. BTW, I know it's psychological and I also know that is why I'll never fully understand it, but the only way to gain any type insight is to actually ask these questions.

Jessica Alba isn't fat.

I don't think any of them actually want to be super skinny, its more that they don't want to be fat. And they always see themselves as fat, wether they look like the first or the second pictures.

that seems to be a separate disorder. It says that people with BDD can sometimes have anorexia nervosa or bulimia, but they also may not. edit- that also means that not every one with an eating disorder suffers from bdd
