I think Quick Messages should have a NUDGE OPTION to validate its purpose. What do you think?
-- Posted by Love Today at 12:20 am on Sep. 7, 2008
Fuck that would be annoying.

The fucking asshole shitbag is a nudge option?

Ultimate failure of epic proportions.

That would get annoying as fuck, no one likes that stupid "Post offered no contribution to the topic" thing, and this would not be any better.

You can have the option to not hear it, though. Most people miss urgent messages all the time.. This was just a thought, yo!

Doesn't matter, yo. I put ULTIMATE FAIL as an option for a reason. I totally knew it was coming from observing LW. However I am not going to change my view because of it.. I strongly feel it WOULD be effective. And it wouldn't get as annoying as everyone thinks because LW would put a flood control on it. I understand why everyone is saying no, though. I just wish you could see it from my point of view is all.

I honestly just don't understand exactly how it would work without taking up a lot of space.

It could be coded to where as soon as the person receives the Quick Message the sound is made opposed to having an actual nudge button.

Ah I see. Well, that's not so bad. Perhaps it could only be implemented to messages that are marked as high priority.

Exactly. I just didn't want to go into detail because people tend to get annoyed with long posts and discard the topic itself by posting replies such as "I'm not reading that." or "Sorry, couldn't read it all!" lol
