if theyre a chaos troll or whatever than okay

but banning someone whose been here awhile for just 'breaking the guidelines' doesnt mean shit

theyll just keep coming back on other accounts dont you know that

-- Posted by Darraaagh at 4:51 pm on Sep. 7, 2008

Makes it seem like they're doing something though.

-- Posted by byebyebeautyful at 4:51 pm on Sep. 7, 2008

thats if theyre obsessively lame enough to do that

-- Posted by MystiqueBeauty16 at 4:51 pm on Sep. 7, 2008

They know it.

They take pleasure in banning previously banned members because it means they'll never get to a higher rank.

Always stay a grasshopper or something at 1 day active. It's frustrating.

You guys are so annoying.  If someone repeatedly breaks the guidelines, they should be banned.  No one gets banned for a one time offense.  Hell, they hardly even get warned.  Banning previously banned members is a great practice.  The only reason you find that someone's new account is previously banned is because they act like the account that they got banned on, which is spamming and being a douchebag.

If they don't do that, they fly under the radar as a new member until they've established themselves as a real member again.  Once that happens, it doesn't matter that you're previously banned.

Not true. A friend of mine got banned after two posts, neither of which broke guidelines. He was a previously banned member though.

I'd say it has something to do with I.P addresses.

I got banned for just being stupid on occasion. Though I had been using the site for about five months, giving my two cents and advice when I felt I should give it, I got banned for posting a shock site and allegedly posting porn (which didn't happen, I just messaged someone a funny vid hosted by redtube).

We will only instaban new members for being PBMs if they did something exceptionally bad in their last account. So they must have done something pretty bad.

The new pardon policy? It's void if a member has done something so severe, or has had so many chances, that they are not going to change, and thus they become a ban on sight.

um no i meant like

After a member has been banned from the site, they are not permitted to return to LiveWire for a minimum of seven days, at the end of which they shall be allowed to return on a second account.
what happened to that?

Like I've said twice now, they are allowed to, unless they've done something severe, or had too many chances.

oh, i see, when you said "new members" i assumed you were including all new members, not just ones who had waited the 7 days before making a new account

sorry
