i just applied for my student bank account and i didn't get an overdraft because i don't want to go into money i don't have. was this a bad idea?
does everyone use their overdraft?

Ahh don't get an overdraft, you will be paying it off forever.

dpends, its a good idea not to, because depending on the terms of the overdraft you may get interest when your in it.

until you have a proper job you shouldnt be spending money that you dont have

Credit blows, if you dont have money for something you probably do not need w.e it is that badly.

Getting an overdraft is a pretty bad idea and should be avoided if possible. It would be far better to get your parents or someone similar to be there for you if you suddenly find yourself in a cash crisis.

On the other hand, overdrafts offered by student bank accounts are quite "good", because they sometimes don't charge you interest on borrowing and other plusses, but this depends on the bank.
